I officially rescind my snark.

But beside feeling likes it’s a warmed-over Election rip-off, I struggle with the casting.  Rachel, the Tracy Flick character, is all wrong.  She’s much too conventionally pretty to be bought as a social misfit.  At least Reese Witherspoon had that pointy chin she could play up.  This Glee ingenue, however, is all perfectly plucked eyebrows and flowing hair.  We need less Rachel McAdams and more Rachel Dratch.

But I’ll try to keep a lid on my carping, lest they replace it with Hot Chicks M.D. Esq.

Thanks to everybody for tuning in this summer.  Now that it’s over, if you have a hole in your heart because you want to hear more podcasts, let me know, okay?  Perhaps I’ll resurrect the ol’ podcast down the road.

And if you’re one of those folks who always meant to listen to the podcast stuff but never got around to it because you’re at work and listening to MP3 files at work would be conspicuous, but you fear you’ve blown your chances at grooving on the podcasty vibe, don’t worry.  The files will stay up on this here website for a good while.  So you can continue ignoring them to your heart’s content.
